David E. Stone is a Georgia Licensed Psychologist who has
been in practice for over 30 years in both New York and Georgia. He works with children (8 years and older), adolescents,
families and couples. His practice is focused on assessment
and treatment of depression, anxiety, stress disorders, marital conflicts, and impulse control.
As a former Major in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps he
is specifically trained to work with military members and their families. He utilizes a broad range of skills including Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy, Insight Oriented Therapy and Mind/Body Medicine, along with Relaxation Training, and Stress Management
to help his clients.
Dr. Stone earned his Ph.D. in psychology from Cornell University
in 1977. He practiced in New York before moving to Georgia in 1992. He was a Harvard Fellow from 2004 to 2006 and is
a member of the Harvard Medical School Postgraduate Association. He is also a graduate of the Education for Ministry Program
at The University of the South and is a pastoral counselor.
Dr. Stone is married with four grown children and one grandchild. His
wife teaches in the Cobb County Schools. |
