Kenia Johnson, Ph.D. - Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Johnson earned her doctorate in Clinical-Community Psychology from the University of South Carolina.  She provides psychological evaluation and counseling services to children and adolescents; and ADHD evaluations for adults.  Her areas of specialization include psychological testing, learning disorders, ADHD, mood disorders, behavioral difficulties, and adjustment and interpersonal issues.  Dr. Johnson also provides clinical supervision and consultation to training students and other clinicians.

Michelle Bacon - Licensed Professional Counselor

Michelle has over 10 years of experience within the counseling field and she has worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, grief, depression, and much more. Michelle uses an integrative treatment modality approach and tailors her techniques to meet the needs of her clients on an individual basis. Michelle is compassionate, dedicated, and strives to provide a safe place where clients can feel comfortable to process their feelings openly and work towards healing. A message from Michelle:  "While the first step of therapy is always the hardest, I sincerely believe the results can be rewarding. Let’s put in the work together to help you overcome these challenges!"

Melissa Cochran - Licensed Professional Counselor

​Melissa Cochran earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Alabama. Melissa provides services to children, adolescents, and adults. She implements a strengths-based, person centered approach in her practice. Melissa’s specialty areas include anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship struggles, family changes, and parenting issues.  ​

Latoya Jackson - Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Latoya is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Georgia with nine years of experience working with people making change in their life. Latoya was born and raised in Ohio and moved to Georgia 12 years ago to pursue a Social Work career. She has worked with people challenged by depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, abuse, substance abuse issues, severe persistent mental illnesses and life changing situations. Latoya's approach is solution focused, client centered, and strengths based drawing heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Theory. Her therapeutic approaches utilized focuses on encouraging and assisting clients to develop perseverance, become more flexible, and increase their self-worth through evidence based social work modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Supportive Therapies, and Problem Solving Strategies. A message from Mrs. Jackson: "When working with clients the main goal is to build rapport. It is very important that client/therapist relationship foundation is built on trust. When working with clients I strive to make the therapy experience genuine, positive, respectful, and safe. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in doing great things and overcoming things that challenge you.  Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am extremely proud of you for getting started! I am excited to meet you and work together to identify your goals and make plans to achieve them."

Gabrielle Sledge

Licensed Assoc. Professional Counselor

​Gabrielle earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Tuskegee University. She completed her training and counseling and obtained Masters of Science degree in Clinical Counseling from Brenau University. Ms. Sledge is a Master’s Level Therapist. Currently, she is in the process of obtaining licensure with the Georgia Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage & Family Therapists. In accordance with licensure regulations, Ms. Sledge provides counseling services as a pre-licensed therapist under the supervision of Dr. Johnson. She uses a multi-modal approach to counseling. Her areas of expertise are mood disorders, adjustment disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders. She works with children, adolescents, adults. Ms. Sledge enjoys helping her clients to make the necessary changes to sustain better overall health. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching crime shows and spending time with family.

Lynne Rodriguez, M.A.

Master's Level Social Worker

Lynne was born and raised in Harlem, New York. She obtained her Master's Degree in Social Work in 2003, from the Hunter College School of Social Work, in New York, NY. Lynne relocated to Georgia in 2005 with her family. She has worked in various settings, such as schools, hospitals, preventive agencies, foster care & adoption agencies, the Administration for Children's Services in NY and Skilled Nursing Facilities. Lynne works primarily with older adults dealing with anxiety, depression and various mental health disorders.

Ethell Jackson

Administrative Assistant

Ethell Jackson is a native of Gulport, Mississippi. She graduated from Phillips College in Gulport, MS. Ethell has career experience in real-estate property management.  She joined Sweetwater Psychological Associates in February 2018. Ethell enjoys exercising, reading, traveling, and singing with her church choir.
