Kenia Johnson, Ph.D.
Dr. Johnson earned her doctorate in Clinical-Community Psychology from the University of South Carolina. She provides psychological evaluation and counseling services to children and adolescents; and ADHD evaluations for adults. Her areas of specialization include psychological testing, learning disorders, ADHD, mood disorders, behavioral difficulties, and adjustment and interpersonal issues. Dr. Johnson also provides clinical supervision and consultation to training students and other clinicians.
Dr. Johnson sees clients in the Lithia Springs office by appointment. Saturday appointments may also be available.
Tamara Godfrey, Ph.D.
Dr. Tamara Godfrey is a licensed psychologist who provides individual and couples therapy to adults and adolescents 17 years of age and older. She believes in working collaboratively with her clients to help them achieve their goals. Dr. Godfrey graduated with a Masters degree in Community Counseling from the University of Georgia in 2002 and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology from The Ohio State University in 2007. She has experience conducting therapy and evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings including private practice, college counseling centers, community mental health, and acute psychiatric inpatient hospitals.
Dr. Godfrey uses an eclectic, culturally informed approach in her work with clients. She enjoys helping clients develop the tools needed to thrive and live more meaningful lives. Dr. Godfrey’s special areas of interest include: anxiety, depression, women’s issues, job burnout, stress, life transitions, interpersonal issues, premarital counseling, LGBTQIA+ issues, and relationship issues.
When not working, Dr. Godfrey enjoys gardening, trying out new recipes, and taking yoga/Pilates/barre classes.

Sherry Simpson, L.P.C.
Sherry Simpson, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor who performs clinical evaluations and psychotherapy at Sweetwater Psychological Associates. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Georgia School of Professional Psychology. She completed a 9-month internship at a Level II Trauma Center in Atlanta in 2000.
Ms. Simpson specializes in evaluation of and treatment for people who are experiencing difficulty with stress, PTSD, mood problems, and panic. In addition to psychotherapy, Ms. Simpson has provided the psychiatric evaluations at 16 metropolitan Atlanta hospitals.
Over the decades Ms. Simpson has held professional positions including Clinical Director, Adjunct Professor, and Managing Director. In addition, she has provided clinical supervision and consultation for other healthcare providers in all levels of clinical care. Ms. Simpson continues to enjoy working with clients and provision of education and consultation for other professionals.
Marsharee Chastain, L.C.S.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Marsharee Chastain, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker. She provides psychotherapy with adult individuals and adolescent females. Her specialties include obsessive personality, grief/loss, life transitions, women’s issues, gay/lesbian issues, and anxiety/depression. Ms. Chastain enjoys helping people heal issues that affect them emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually.
